The Fundy Hericanes will begin tryouts for the 2012-13 season on September 8th. The team plays in the NB Bantam AAA Female Hockey League. Girls from Sussex to St Stephen born 1998-2001 are eligible to play.

Please complete and return the attached registration form by September 5th.

Sun. Sept 9th 2:15pm – 3:15pm qplex
Sat. Sept 15th 8:00pm – 9:00pm Quispamsis Memorial Arena
Sat. Sept 16th 11:00am – 1:45pm Quispamsis Memorial Arena

Tryout fee is $60 payable by cash or cheque at 1st ice time. Cheque payable to Fundy Hericanes.

The Hericanes got together one final time for fun, food and lots of reminiscing about their inaugural season. The team and their families enjoyed pizza, cake and bowling. Each player received a plaque from the coaches commemorating their year. Catherine Harris-Gosselin, Brittany Steeves, Natalie Sharp and Megan Dempsey will be moving on next year and will be missed by all their new forever friends and teammates.

The captain and assistant captains presented plaques to their coaches accompanied by very moving speeches reflecting their feelings about the year just ended.

“I truly believe all teams in our division “felt the force” this year and they will feel the perfect storm next year as we will be classified as a category 5 when we arrive!"

The Hericanes were leading the West Kent Blizzard 1-0 after 2 periods then West Kent scored 2 unanswered goals in the 3rd to take the game. West Kent will move on to the Female Bantam AAA Championship game this afternoon. Bathurst was winning 4-1 in the 3rd in the other crossover game.

The girls put everything into it, played hard and had a great experience.

Your parents and fans are very proud of your effort, focus, team work and spirit this weekend and all season long.

The Hericanes finished the round robin with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. The Hericanes will play the West Kent Blizzard at 10:15am tomorrow.

The Hericanes played hard tonight against the Bathurst North Stars but were unsuccessful finishing the game 1-4.

The taping of the crossover game has been changed to the 1 vs 4 game therefore our crossover game will not be taped.

The girls are getting a good night sleep and will be ready to go for 10:15am.

The Hericanes went down to the Fredericton V-Reds 2-0 in their third game of the Bantam AAA provincial championships.

The V-Reds were up 1-0 after 2 then added a 2nd in the third. #7 Chloe Perley scored both of Fredericton’s goals.

With 2 wins and 1 loss, the Hericanes have secured a spot in the crossovers on Sunday morning.

The Hericanes final game of the round robin is tonight at 7:30pm when they take on the number one team in the championships, the Bathurst North Stars.
